Default no vtec help

i have a built b20 vtec with buddy club spec 3 cams tried to hit vtec yesterday and when i try to engage vtec it seems to sputter and make no power, do i need to get it tuned or running stock injector is causing the problem or the cams the problem, i check the oil level and its fine wiring, pressure everything anybody can help that would be cool

WHat kind of pistons? Stock b20 pistons already barely miss the valves, with that bigger cam im sure ur hitting if ur on stock pistons

my friend had the same problem... the oil pump was the problem cause the b20 oil pump didnt make the right psi for the vtec sooooo we had to drop a b16 oil pump in then BOOM! vtec

i have je piston in there with a type r oil pump the compression is 10:6 and no check engine light

Hmmmm u can bypass the pressure switch by jumping it to a4 (i think what ever the solenoid is) but I wouldnt recommend doing it for long. Mayb just one time to c if it works then figure out y the oil pressure isnt up enough for the pressure switch. Vtec ever work properly? did u do the external line and plug the block gallery.

so what ecu/map are u running this on? hows the cam timing? U do have proper springs and retainers right? not that itd b the prob just wondering

I know exactly what the problem is, get it tuned. You shouldn't be revving the engine up and down without it being tuned or at least being able to monitor the AFRs first.

yea sounds like u have a chipped p28 with a shitty map drive it carefully and get it tuned and u will be fine.
