I have a 1996 Honda Civic Ex (D16Y8) with a Greddy turbo kit installed. I have not owned the car for long and I am new to tuner cars. The car throws a CEL code of P0108 whenever I get on it and the turbo spools up. I have installed a new Map sensor and it still does it. Anyone know a fix?

based on the fact that you can scan for codes with a scanner, you have an OBD2 ECU. Since honda never produced an OBD2 civic ECU with boost, that's why you're setting the CEL.
the only way to do this right is to buy an OBD2a-OBD1 conversion harness, and an OBD1 ECU that's chipped for your setup... then have it tuned.

they likely did but switched it back when they sold it.
or that's the only way to get it to pass emissions to be able to be sold.
or they had no idea what they were doing and couldn't get the CEL to stop so they sold it...

the latter would worry me more, more problems may be undiscovered.

Probably not the way you think.

the ECU is chipped with a basemap, it's the basic maps you need to get the car running.
Tuning is the process of reading what the engine is doing with those maps and adjusting so the engine runs correctly. This requires (at minimal) a wideband and some street tuning time. But if at all possible, some dyno time, which will help in every way.

 

I installed a Walbro fuel pump, RC 440cc fuel injectors and a Chipped Obd1 Vtec Ecu from Phearable.net and the car runs fine. Turbo spools up and pulls like a raped ape with no engine lights. Time for a dyno tune.
