Default S'MORE SEDAN QUESTIONS...

K so, imma lay it all out.

I have a d15B2 motor. Im doing a mini-me swap with a z6 head.

i have the head so far. (it didnt even come with a vtec solenoid, but ive gotten one on egay)

im not sure wut i should do to the head. i know i want new: valve spings, camshaft, cam gear, vavles, and get the head machined.
but wut parts should i buy for it to get it completely rebuilt to amazing condition. also im thinking of using all fel-pro gaskets for the swap, good or bad idea??

now onto my other questions.
ive got a SI mani. ive completely disassembled it. it has everything.
but im also thinking of rebuilding it.
i want a new fuel rail and FPR.
maybe a new TB (WUT KIND??)
im thinking of upgrading my injectors as well.

ANY SUGGESTIONSSZZZ?

I really dont understand why your telling this dude to go somewhere else...

Anyway, dont say things like "what should i use?" or similar things, because the thread will get locked.

Onto the questions.

im not sure wut i should do to the head. i know i want new: valve spings, camshaft, cam gear, vavles, and get the head machined.

What is your budget? That really determines the quality of the parts you've listed. Also, get the head ported & polished, or "machined". If i was you, i'de have the machinist install everything (they disassemble heads before cleaning).

What are you trying to do with the head? Get everything back into OEM brand new condition? Whatever gaskets you use, fine, but i'de stick with the OEM mls head gasket from a z6 or y8 head. They're a couple millimeters thinner than the fel-pro "crush" gaskets. This will help in your compression ratio but very slightly.

The only bad thing about mls gaskets are that they are less "forgiving", meaning if you have any imperfections on the head or block surface, the head gasket will let you know it by leaking a little bit. Crush gaskets will seal up better.

ive got a SI mani. ive completely disassembled it. it has everything.
but im also thinking of rebuilding it.

SI intake manifold? or do you mean SI tranny?

Im assuming you mean intake manifold. there isnt anything to "rebuild" for an intake manifold. Only replace the sensors attached, and possibly include it along with the head when you take it to the machine shop. They'll clean it out good for you.

No need for any cosmetic fuel rail or aftermarket fuel pressure regulator unless you have plans to use a higher flow fuel pump, period.

Same goes for injectors, buy new STOCK cc injectors. The rail/fpr/injectors will be USELESS unless you get a higher flow pump, like a Walbro.

Lastly, you realize you're going to have to convert to obd1 and also do the MPFI conversion right?

Thanks for the suggestions.
Yes i know i am converting to obd1. im looking for a p28 along with obd0 to obd1 jumper locally.
i already have a resistor box and an SI engine harness on the way in the mail along with an SI throttle cable.

I want the head to be restored, but also have new parts in it. not used OEM from a junkyard.
Blox or skunk2 has good stuff no?

My budget is whatever. If the parts are worth buying, i save for them.

As for the SI manifold. I figured that would be the case. So ill jsut clean up the stock parts. But the injectors that came with it seem iffy to me, so id rather buy brand new ones. wut "cc" should i get though.

Ok if there is no budget what are your goals for the car? You doint just start dropping **** tons of money and parts for no reason.

Theres no reason to get larger injectors.
