It's not something someone can tell you, everyone has different driving capabilities combined with different setups. Practice makes pefect so just give it a try (safely/legally I hope).

lol heres something that might help
Hold the needle readily around 4, 000 RPM, left hand on the wheel, right hand on the stick in first, left foot holding clutch that's about to do its job. Wait for the go as you scan for uninvited fuzz and check the driver next to for any expression. Time to move.. you instinctively release some pressure at your left foot creating a path for torque to reach the earth and proportionately twist the throttle plate further towards the its most capable, open position so the heart of your machine can breathe, making a connection, understood and loved by only you as you sink further into your seat and into the next gear. This is the perfect launch

lol i usually hold it around 4500 use the parkin brake to hold me still(just push the button in and pull it up to keep ya from moving) and let out some then just kinda dump it hold the throttle steady then just ease into it and matt it down but let her quit spinning before shiftin or you'll shift early and bog just go out on a back road on pavement somewhere at night and practice till ya got it down pat

no way 13s are great easier to turn over than some big heavy *** wheel less rotating mass even better find some vx wheels there really light throw some decently wide tires and some good tread on em and you'll be set just make sure with that dohc zc you do timing belt and water pump before it goes bad cause advanced auto doesnt sell jdm parts lol just use the parts from an old 88-91 prelude im pretty sure its the b21 stuff you use but just do some research to make sure hope this helps ya

the size of the wheel isn't all that important - the height of the tire is what is important - the car will accelerate quicker with shorter tires, however, it is a lot easier to spin the shorter tires which means you need to launch it at a lower rpm - launching it at a lower rpm means you are down where you aren't making a lot of horsepower and it then takes a lot longer to get the rpms up to where you are making better power - the best option is to use a tire that is as short as you can get but use a wider tire that gets more rubber on the track to increase the traction which will allow you to launch at higher rpm - unfortunately, there aren't a lot of options for shorter, wider 13" tires, unless you go to drag slicks - you probably would need to go to a 14" wheel to get something that would work well, like a 205/55-14 Nitto drag radial - the 205/55-14 at 22.88" tall is shorter than a 185/70-13 at 23.20" tall - we run 13" x 8" Weld Racelite wheels (6 lbs. each) on our drag only DOHC ZC 89 hatch, but we are running 22" tall x 9.5" wide x 13" drag slicks and launch it at 8200 rpm - the only way to find out what rpm you need to launch at is to take it to the track and practice

I reved mine to 8200 regularly for the better part of a decade without any internal modifications, never developed rod knock. Not sure why you would say anything like that.
