Hey whats up guys I just bought this 97 Civic LX and I am having issues with the power windows. I didn't notice the windows was like this till today. But the main switch the driver window was rigged to the passenger window so it only operates pushing the the right switch on the main switch. I tested and and probed the wires that was cut and both wires are putting out 12v when I hit the switch. Also the passenger side rear window is not working either. I am not sure why this is working when jumped to the passenger side switch and then not working when it is when it is where it is suppose to be. I changed out the relay below the dash tested each fuse and also changed out each fuse. I've read a few post about people changing out the door harness for the driver door but I am not to keen on going to the junk yard unless I have to. I am reading in the service manual and talks about a window pulsar where is that located at?

I just swap out the main switch the only window that doesn't work in the passenger rear window.But whats weird is both passenger side front and rear window switches don't work still.

 

had the same problem with my sedan i could not roll down any windows from driver side but i could from rear passenger, one window would only roll down from the switch anyways check the floor harness connector between the fender and the door to see if there are any broken wires i had 6 broke on mine trouble shoot it some more dl this manual Honda_Civic_96-00_EJ6_EJ7_EJ8_EM1_with_Si search this in google there is a torrent site you can get it from jump to page 1697 then keep flipping pages to what you need to troubleshoot but i would check that harness connector first its easier to look at it with the fender off

 

hey guys, I too am having that problem,Driver window would'nt work I found a broken power wire and bypassed it,now my FR passenger window won't work,i checked for power and it's good-what do you think-switch-motor???? it was just working fine.
