If it's the OBD2 motor I don't think it has the air boost valve, hell my OBD1 H22a didn't even come with one but my H23a1 had an air boost valve.

That's weird that they told you to add it to a motor that doesn't even come with it. The air boost valve isn't even emissions related, it just helps the car have an easier start up. You should be looking for a 92-95 intake but you need actual pictures of the product before buying because the one with 2 nipples seem to be a little less common. I have one but I'm currently using it but can run a single nipple one since my JDM H22a has a factory made block plate over the air boost valve location.

My car had a no name brand intake on it when I bought the car and it had 2 nipples so I kept the pipe and bought a good filter. The air boost valve seems to be on all H23a1's so if you can find a intake specific to that motor then it should have both other wise you may be able to have it added by someone.
Kronn, you're always so 'to the point' and lately have been lacking straight answers to the noobs.. more like dick answers..
No, they are not exactly the same. Yes, They are similar and can be interchanged. Was that so hard? : }

I didn't know the answer. That's why I told him where to go to get it.
And anyone who gives me attitude will definitely get it in return.

Kronn you have a valid point. That was uncalled for, and frankly I get tired of seeing nooby racers wanting an intake and 10hp, but lets get back to the topic shall we?
I actually own both a 93 & a 97, and I do believe not only the for the cold start air valve nipple, but the 97's intake box IS in the same location obviously, but the clips are slightly in different spots. I'm sure this could be modified, it's minor.
As far as the JDM Type S intake & exact fitment, I'm not sure. I'm going to try it soon though : )
sorry im not being the forum mommy keeping peoples spelling in check.
french fried ***got.
the intakes are the same from the tube to the box. DOnt know about the resonators, always removed those.
the Type S will fit perfect in your 4th gen although its kind of a waste of money.
also an FYI (OMG i used AN without the next word starting with a vowel....CALL KRON!!!!), the H22 prelude CAI will fit an h22 EK civic.
A TUNED cold air intake is the money maker. Not so much for up top power, but the midrange power is a big difference if its tuned correctly.

It's hilarious man. I comment on 1 person's complete and total lack of grammar, spelling, and punctuation, which made his post indecipherable and I'm suddenly a "mommy" or "french fried homo". Not really sure about that second one. French fried? What other retarded things can you say that serve no purpose? I can see why you got the boot in the first place. Useless piece of ****.
Kronn, G16racer this conversation needs to go to PM, you have been warned.
Mike if you are looking for a JDM Type S intake I have one. I sold my BB6 a few months back and stripped it of all its parts.
