Default wats a good dd coilover for eg bubble

i was lookin at tein basics there spring rates are 392/168 and k sports are 560/336.. so i think the basics would be better for a daily driver right? or should i go a different route?

f2 function and form. it is super for daily driving and can go lower than you can possibly drive. i bought these for 3 of my cars already so that just shows how much i like it for daily driving.

I have heard terrible things about the basics, they have also been known to blown at about 2in drop..

As STOCK SOHC DX said check out progress, prices are pretty good. Functionform will also do good for a DD, but dont ask to much from them.

yea function and form is strictly daily driving its not a track coilover or anything so dont think you have superior handling. tein basics cant get you dumped either so go for the f2 they are good and go super low. but if you like super low i suggest something slightly stiffer like skunk2

Functionform would be better to go low then skunk2, ff is adjusted by the bottom mount, skunk2 is not.

Progress makes pretty stout products. I have their swaybars on my G35. they're pretty heavy duty and have adjustable settings. They also make a thicker swaybar for my CG Accord when compared to the typical OEM CL and Eibach upgrades. I would expect the same out of their coilovers.

I'd pic Progress over Tein, more so than Ksport - heard a lot of crappy things about Ksport. I cant put a finger on it but there was another forum (i think) that put Ksports dampers on a dyno and found that their damping rates between all of their dampers were all different.

Another notable brands are Tanabe, buddy club, and my personal favorite, SilkRoad.

For brand new "JDM" coilovers these are the worst I have ever owned. Please don't tell folks to buy these. I have had used Koni/GC that rode thousand times better.

Look where they are manufactured now. Their quality control went down the toilet.

I understand that, however, damn near everything is made there or somewhere close to it.
Either way, they rode good and handled good, better then functionform for around the same amount. None the less they dont compare to koni/gc.

what? I already told you to check out Progress if your on a budget. If you got some $$ Koni/GC. If you got even more than that AMR. With Koni/GC and AMR you can pick your spring rates and both have lifetime warranty.

you can call ground control or PIC and talk with them about your application... for a daily driver you wont really benifit from a higher spring rate.

why are you worried about coilovers for a DD. There are so many different springs out that to give you the drop and rates you want and you spend a hell of a lot less than cheap *** coilovers that ride and handle like ****
