Re: Ksport vs tein basics??? (JDMEK9R)
ksport have the 32-way adjustables. and the basic's are ur basic coilover setup.
i have the basic's... works good but the ride quality is a lil on the bouncy side IMO. i never tried the ksports but they do look good.

I'm running with ksports right now. They are really stiff, it can take the corners really well. The rude qualoty is adjustable, so if its too stiff, soft, ect you can adjust it.

So the ksports will compare more to Tein SS? I'm running the SS coilovers and like them a lot. They are 16 way adjustable and its pretty easy to dial in the ride quality you want with them. Check out the suspension forum as well, there are a lot of good reviews there.

i rode d2s on my gsr for about a year, then sold em. but they were super stiff and hard to adjust dampening to where you wanted. I would get the basics and just rock out for a daily.

they are comprable, but tein ss are more expensive. When doing my search for coilovers it was between these two, but I ultimately chose the ksports. Price is better (check out JLB motorsports), and one of my friends recommended them over the teins, he had both setups and said he liked the ksports better.

The d2s are not the same coilover. My friend tyco on HT had both a dc2 with ksports, and ek coupe with d2s. Driven both, and they feel different, d2s aren't as stiff on maximum setting. If there are problems in adjusting the coilovers, you can always get them tuned at a shop, but i don't think its too hard to adjust them yourself.

i guess what i meant was that i couldnt feel a difference in the settings. I might have been because they werent tuned properly, but the only way you can get it fairly accurate is if you go all the way to one side and count the amount of turns you make, they dont click or anything
