Default boosted obd1 engine into 96 obd2 chasis help

alright ive got a boosted engine that was running in a da (obd1) chasis. i pulled the engine out and sold the chassis with the harness an transmission. I now have a 96 which is obd2, the motor in it is trash. My question is.. i want to put this engine in the 96 chasis. I planned to use the obd2 intake manifold and dizzy and completely swap everything over. There is a crank sensor on the obd2 harness and there is no crank sensor on the obd1 motor... if i use my obd1 ecu and get a obd2-obd1 jumper harness will this solve all my problems? I know the obd2 setup will not allow the engine to fire if the crank sensor is unplugged...

just get the jumper harness and run the obd1 ecu. the obd1 ecu isn't going to look for all the extra obd2 sensors that they use
