Check enginer light still on after sensor replaced
Hi,
I have replaced the ECT sensor on my accord 2007. this sensor was indicated as faulty from the codes pulled by autozone.P2185, P2183
It happens that he check engine light is still on. Assuming the problem is indeed the sensor and it has been fixed, I'd like to know if the light is suppose to go off immediately after the fix or it will take a manual reset to go off ? or it will go off after sometime by itself?
anyone has similar experience? many thanks in advance for sharing.

if u unplug the battery for about 5 minutes it will reset the check engine light or just leave it alone and about three days it will turn off or if it stays on u have another problem
I suggest you clear it with a scanner...I don't believe the others work. Something mechanical like spark plugs, mis fire, evap, fuel etc. can clear on there own but as far as electrical, u must get them cleared...
