Default H22A question

What's up prelude fellas. I was wondering if you guys know the Honda part numbers for the basic tune for a Jdm h22a like water pump, timing belt, balancer. And also if you guys can give me more info on what else I should get I'd greatly appreciate it thanks!

PS I looked it up but the some forums say different part numbers and I do not want to get stuck with the wrong part number , again thank you!

The dealer is totally wrong. You probably got some burnt out parts guy who hates helping people. If your JDM motor is OBD1, get parts for a 94 VTEC prelude. Everything is the same except for the dist cap. Use a dist cap for a 90 accord. It has an internal coil just like JDM.

I'd do the rear main seal, dizzy o-ring and either reapply hondabond to the cam cap or if it looks worn replace it. These along with the usual t-belt, dizzy cap and rotor, water pump, plugs and wires.

I sometimes use Majestic Honda to get parts. Doesn't take long for parts to arrive either.

http://www.sanleandrohonda.com/parts/index.htm

Sometimes this site is cheaper than Majestic since Majestic charges a metric ***-ton for S/H. So depending on the size of the part and the total price, SLHonda is usually cheaper.

It varies depending on the part.

Chances are that those parts are universal. Go to the website I provided and find out.

19200-P13-003 - same p/n for the h22a1 and h22a4 water pump, I can almost guarantee you it's the same for your h22a. Don't know where you're finding multiple/different part numbers.

Yeah, the JDM and USDM H22A, A1, and A4, any H22 all use the same water pump, oil pump, timing belt, balance belt, everything. A4s use a different balance gear than H22a1s and older H22As but US and JDM are all the same, for the years.

H23 uses different cam gears, crank gears, timing belt, and water pump, but everything else is the same. Just order everything for a 95 SI VTEC

a1 and a4 have different oil pump housings due to the crank angle sensors needed for OBD2 if I'm not mistaken.

You are correct, the pumps interchange, and an OBDII (A4) pump can be used on an older OBDI model, or an OBDI converted 5th gen, but an OBDI pump cannot be used on an OBDII car.
