JDM & USDM h22a tune up parts the same?
might sound like a stupid question but ill be ordering a jdm h22a to start my h2b project for next season. And im wondering if i can just buy a OEM timing belt and water pump from honda. Or if i need to buy specific parts seieng it is a JDM engine and not USDM?

i purchased my jdm h22 from hmotors. i replaced the timing belt, switched to a manual tensioner, and replaced my water pump all with OEM parts from hondaautomotiveparts.com

okay great thats all i needed to know. I just wanted to make sure that the parts were interchangeable. Anyone else have any opinions?

Called up my pops ( works at a dealership) and had him order timing belt and water pump for a 94 prelude ( have a jdm h22a ) and yes they work fine
is that enough yes answers for you ?

only difference i actually found between usdm and a jdm h22 is the thermostat. had to make a couple trips finding the right size. i believe a 96 usdm thermostat sis the correct one.

Works fine as everyone else has stated.
