department of transportation wont let the car clear customs unless its a rolling chassis with no motor hense the reason it cost so much to ship to the states. (the motor and chassis are shipped seperate)

 

even with 3k shipping, this is still a good deal...60k type r for 10k...j-spec...I'll do that deal, if only my lease was up noW... :-(

My question is what kind of costs must go in to getting that thing converted to US street legal??? ANYONE KNOW?

Nope. 96-97 JDM ITR's had 4x114.3

 

j-spec 96 and 97 models came with a 4x114.3 lug pattern. they didnt start using 5 lug suspensions till early 1998.

 

96-97 type R** 96 spec *** came with JDM 4 lug 4x114.3 Brother man

98 SPEC + 98-01 came in 5 lug, 5x114.3
