Default Decided on a Turbo... what else. BUDGET!

I am purchasing the following turbo kit for 1,500

Garrett Hybrid T3/T4
3 inch chrome intercooler upper/lower pipes w/ HKS sequential blow-off valve fitting
3 inch exhaust down pipe
A'PEXi turbo timer
Greddy boost gauge
660cc fuel injectors
HKS external wastegate (not street legal in California) * Comptech fuel pressure
regulator
DRAG T3/T4 turbo manifold (fits HKS external wastegate)
Spearco front mount intercooler
O2 sensor housing
turbo return oil line (has to be used with turbo)
hose clamps
Fits all Honda/Acura B series: B16 B18 B20
*** can support up to 630whp ***
* under 400 miles on turbo

Everybody tells me I need an EMS, but they are very pricey, and after the turbo kit I only have 2500 left for other engine mods and suspension. I have the following in mind

8:1 Pistons
Skunk2 Cam Gears
AEM Fuel Rail
Walboro 255lb Fuel Pump
Honda Fuel Pressure Regulator
Skunk2 Coilovers OR Eibach Coilovers

Feedback is much appreachated!

8:1.... you're nuts. your off-boost throttle response and power is going to suck. if its a street car, don't even think about going less than 9:1. most people are running 9.5-10:1.

630 whp will never happen off that kit either... unless your drag mani decides to spike the hell out of you--- which it will

you are worried about EMS $$ but are ready to spend 300+ on rods, and 400 on pistsons... cam gears--- for what cams??? if you're using stock cams, you don't need aftermarket cam gears. theres more money for your ems....

frankly, id feel safer running stock internals and a hondata then a piston/rod package.

plus, 660cc injectors really can't be controlled by anything less....

y the hell would you run 8:1 that is nuts man you will have no i repeat NO bottom or off boost power what so ever.

Also pissed off sol why would you consider running 8:1 on a car if it isn't a street car if it is a race car i would run the highest compression i can get away with

on a stupid-boosted car... like 50+ psi on a gigantor turbo, its not uncommon to run as low as 6:1 compression. lower compression generall gives more "room" for the boosted air to fit into.

there was a huge thread on 10 vs 9 just a couple days ago... have a look.
