Default Engineworld Emeryville

Anyone here buy any engines from EngineWorld. Just wanted to know if you have had any issues with these guys. I just bought an F23A4-ULEV last week and they recommended this guy in Oakland to do the swap. Everything was very cheap, $548.00 for the motor and $350.00 for the labor to replace the engine. But now a week latter all kinds of stuff is going wrong. 02 Sensor is bad (code P1067) now and also getting (P1486) intermittently. Worst of all the Grease on the left CV Joint is spewing all over and CV Joint is going on the left side (shaking like crazy at 40 MPH plus when accelerating)

I live in the East Bay SF.

A neighbor picked up an engine from a local importer, but the mechanics the importer recommended was a hack. Had to fix some wiring they screwed up on.

Did the old engine come with the sensors/intake etc? The mechanic may have left all the sensors on and not swapped over any of your known good sensors. How is the wiring? Grounds?

FWIW this is where I picked up a low mileage AT http://www.japanengine.com/index.asp

They just took the 02 sensor from my old motor and used wire spices to put it on the new motor (all they needed to do was use the original connector). Looks like I have to go through all the wiring and check sensors this weekend. Do not use the recommended mechanic from EngineWord, the shop is dump and I did not save any money having this hack do the swap for $350.00.

Good luck, have you taken it back to the shop.

At this point I would rather not go back there and just work on it myself so I know what has been done. I did have to go back once because the forgot to put the lug lock back in the car so I couldn't get me wheels off. So far the engine runs fine, installing new axles and checking sensors this weekend.

The Shop is called Auto Plus in Oakland, CA "Beware"
