Default transmision locked up. maybe broken release fork?

the other day i was driving my DA and the car would not move. i could shift but the wheels where locked up. i could not even psh the car. also previously when i would be driving the shifting got really really hard and it felt weird. previously i would have some grinds into 4th gear . could this broken part be the answer to my problems. the gears looked good and so did the synchros. nothing looked out of the ordinary. its a j1 cable clutch tranny

that looks like a culprit for your problems. I had similar conditions like you but it wasn't a damaged shift fork. I was driving on the freeway and tried downshifting to slow down but couldn't and it felted like a rock when I tried shifting. I realized a spring on my clutch disc came loose.

If you can, look behind the pressure plate and see if a spring came off. Here's a picture of the damage:

you have a broken throwout bearing...but that doesnt explain why you car wont move...I mean you said you can shift it...why not put it on neutral and try pushing the car see if it moves if not then it might be stuck on one of the gear..
