1997 Acura
I just bought my daughter a 1997 acura and had to replace battery. Now the radio is looking for a reset code and we have looked all over the car (nowhere to be found). We have the serial number from radio which is 95C26823. We called an Acura dealership and they want 100.00 to give us the code. I just don't have the $.
I would appreciate it if you could give me the code.
Thank you!

Find another Honda/Acura dealer, go to it with the HU, [radio] removed, [so serial number can be seen] bring proof of ownership, tell them Acura USA sent you, it takes the parts dept. 30 sec., [at most] to look it up, there should be no charge, I have never been charged for looking up customers codes as long as dealer does not have to remove HU.
If the parts guy gives you a hard time ask to see service manager, if he gives you a hard time ask to see the GM, if he gives you a hard time ask for his name and tell him you will contact Acura main office and complain that they are trying to charge you $100 for something that takes about the same amount of time as looking up a part.
They may even do it at the place you called if you go there, no Honda/Acura dealer should be giving that info over the phone and the $100 quote may include re&re of the HU
It is against HT rules to ask for or give radio codes, for obvious reasons.
Rule#4...Radio codes. Real easy. Go to the dealer. They will help you out. 94
