usdm intake manifold vs jdm intake manifold
anyone know what is the difference? like the look how can you tell if its jdm or usdm i am looking for a usdm b16 intake manifold and i have the jdm b16 intake manifold it says p30
I just recently delt with this same situation. The JDM manifold doesn't have the tapped hole for the purge solonoid on the back of the manifold. And it doesn't have the nipple for the vaccum line on the back either if I'm not mistaken. Hope this helps. I used to have a diagram, I'll see if I can find it when I get home from work.
can u show me pic? i putted a usdm intake manifold today and there was a sensor wire from the jdm b16 iono where to plug it in into the intake manifold. my car starts to bog after i put in the usdm intake manifold anyone know why this happen?

usdm doesnt have the hole and theres a sensor thingy on top that connect to something..

it has the hole, since i installed the new usdm intake manifold, where i connect the wire to now?

what I did was take the old IAT off my old manifold and drill 3 holes in your intake arm, one hole for the sensor to insert in and the other two to screw the screws into to hold the IAT. The OBD2 B16A has the IAT in the intake arm. Where was your old MAP sensor? Was it firewall mounted? If so just extend the wires if you need to.

You know, if you buy an IAT sensor, connect it and place it somewhere say near the firewall where it doesnt get warm, it will actually trick your car into creating a good stoich ratio for power, since it thinks that the air coming in is actually much cooler. But of course drilling and putting it where it's supposed to go is mighty too
