Bad week...Bent rod? b16 ef help please no oil
Ok so I came back from a hour drive parked my car for a while normally no problems
night time comes and car is still driving normal I go for a drive and hit the gas a lil hard and I notice a weird sound coming from engine then my car starts to stall like if I stop hitting the gas the car would die...
take it home and the noise is louder so I automatically assumed I bent a rod or something
so I left it in my garage only took me about 5 mins to drive it home.
today I go to check the damage and first thing I check was the dipstick and guess what ...NO OIL at all...I did a oil change recently so I know it had oil in there.
So my question is what can cause this and would adding oil save it or how do I go into checking it or is it even savable any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.

"what can cause this" - well it either burned out, leaked out, or a combination of both.
"will adding oil save it?" - no, adding oil is not going to bring it back to life. it sounds like you more than annihlated the bearings judging by what you've told me. most likely what you're hearing is rod and/or crank knock. its due to the lack of lubrication to the bearing surfaces.
"saveable?" sure it is, but not easy or cheap. you'll have to tear the engine apart and replace the main and rod bearings. if you're unluckier still you might also find yourself replacing the crank and possibly the rods. it all depends on if the bearings began to spin or not within the journals. if you know that the engine was burning oil prior then you might as well just do a complete overhaul of the engine. new bearings, rings, valve seals, everything.

I added some oil to it just now and just needs 1/2 a quart and the motor got better at idle theirs no knocking but if i rev it to 2000 rpm its there after adding the oil the car does not die at iddle.....
did u bolt down the drain cap good? is it stripped? bad oil pan gasket. hitting crazy vtak to much yo. oil pump seal shitty? got pics?
drain cap is good and i guess it was not completely empty because when i added the 2 quarts it only needs 1/2 quart so im guessing it had 1 1/2 quart in there so i guess it just burned it i had 2 long trips this week but like i said it sounds better at iddle no sound at all but if i rev pass 2000 rpms it starts knocking ...sounds like if there was a couple of nuts inside the block

if it's knocking above 2k you have developed an early stage rod knock. i did teh exact same thing you did. went for hella drives and forgot to check my oil till my oil light kept comming on. added two quarts and it was just barely above the lower dot. i pulled it apart, several bearings were all thinned out and partially spun.

to clarify. if you're not doing the work yourself it would definitely be cheaper to just purchase another longblock. now you might get away with just a shortblock but you will have to take the cams out and inspect the journals to see if they incurred any damage. if the head is alright then i would definitely just pick up or rebuild a bottom end.
I took off my rod bearings and they were broken on the edge, crank feels and looks like there was no damage ill be replacing them tomorrow i think I am pretty sure once i change them it will be ok because it didnt look that bad and it was pretty easy also not that hard took me like an hour to drop the headers oil pain crank guard and then the bottom part of the rod and this was my first time doing that too...
