inconsistent knocking, PLEASE HELP!
alright guys, long story short, I have bad oil leaks like any other turbo-charged car. I checked my oil about 4 days ago, and it was good. I woke up today (sunday) and my car was knocking just a little, not enough to really notice unless your standing right next to the car. I drove a little today, and made my weekly trip back to north carolina to go to work tommorrow, rougly a 3 hour drive. I pull into a gas station to check my oil, and sure enough there is like little to no oil in my engine. No worries, I run inside, and grab some castrol gtx 10w30. Put 3 quarts in, and I notice the knocking a little more evident now. I kinda freak out, and start to wonder wtf. The car is driving just fine, and I was on the highway for roughly 2 hours at a steady 70-80mph pace before stopping at the gas station. The knocking is still continuing, so I drove 40mph all the way back to where I stay down here and dropped it off at local performance shop around here to get it looked at tommorrow. I know this is a difficult question, but anyone had this happen to them before? The car gave me no problems driving all the way back. Possible spun bearing?
one of your bearings is gone, my best guess. The part is only like $15 but I don't know what the shop will charge you to replace it. Do it yourself, it's a 2 hour project max. Jack the car up, unscrew the oil pan. Than unscrew the two little bolts on your connector rod and replace the bearing. And pray to the Honda gods it's not the crank.
yes, gotta be a bearing. if it isnt your in for some ****. but dont let that shop overcharge you. make sure what they tell you is valid and get some explanation.
could be a bearing...on the other check compression might be valves or somethin like pistons..u never know wat can go wrong it's a turbo car...things happen..good luck on the find
alright thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback.

are you sure it's that easy? I'm hoping that I didn't mess anything else up by driving it more, but do remember, the car drove just fine, with no changes in shifting, or acceleration. I'll let you guys know today after I talk to the shop and they rip it apart. Who knows ? It could just be a loose bolt
