hesitant vtec cross over?

Default hesitant vtec cross over?

as title stated...

im wondering..


so vtec engages for a couple hundred rpms.. then the car lurched and engine light flashed.


i ease off, car drives normal.

is there something wrong with my vtec solenoid? or is my vtec solenoid screen plugged up..??

Have you checked your oil level lately?

i checked it two days ago.


not to mention it was changed last week.

engine was warmed up completely after a two hour drive (no vtec-ing what so ever)

i had a problem with my distributor once and it would drive fine out of vtec but once in vtec it would pop and missfire, i changed the coil/ignitor and finally changed the whole dizzy and the problem went away

nope. CEL doesnt stay on.

went out for a drive, top a lil bit of oil, and the vtec works fine again...

maybe i should i get the cap and wires changed as they look old.
