Default need help with the name of a part..

I hopped in my car today and cranked it up and it died on me. I couldn't get it to crank when I push the clutch in but all my lights on the dash are on etc.

so i guess what I am trying to get at is what is the little plastic plunger called that pushes the button on your clutch pedal that allows your car to start? There were broken little pieces everywhere.

I looked on majestic honda and I can't exactly tell what the part is on the diagram.

thx and be easy

It's called a pedal stopper pad.

clutch pedal switch. It is a safety switch to ensure that the vehicle is indeed in neutral when you start your car.

the switch is good, I reached under there and pushed the button on the switch and cranked the car.
I just don't know what that little plastic part is called that is on the end of the pedal that pushed that button in when the clutch is pushed in.

Sounds like the stopper pad, the brake pedal has one as well, for the brake light switch. For a temporary fix you could put a small bolt through the hole and thread a nut on the outside end. VUALA, now you havea temporary fix til you get to the dealership to buy your new one for like... 99 cents lol.

you could bypass it, but then you would need to make sure you are always in neutral when you hop in the car
