My 98 GSr will consume roughly 1qt every 3k miles. But I recently noticed a slight oil leak, very small. If its parked overnight in the morning there was a small stain on the ground.

Then, I topped off my oil to full capacity, and noticed that the oil leak stopped.

So - it leaks when my oil level is low, but not when its at capacity.
Whats leaking here?

 

The leek might be stopping because the car is not running. Id check the oil drain plug and all around the oil pan. Also check the cam gear plug by the dizzy. You might also have a leaky oil filter or loos censer on the back of the block. Take your time and look/investigate.
