leaking oil any ideas?

I've never heard of oil leaking into the dizzy, but could be possible? Check the rotor in the distributor, along with lookong at your spark plugs as far as the hesitation.
if you see oil on that side its the seal where the dizzy hits the inside of the engine. when you unbolt it.
for me, just putting in a new distributor fixed my upper end leak (old dizzy died.)
no oil cannot get into the left side of the dizzy where the spark happens....

Sorry. I missed your mentioned of having a D16Y7.
Oil leaking below the distributor is either coming from the distributor O-ring or the valve cover. Check both. Even though you just replaced the O-ring, it's possible to damage the O-ring during installation, so recheck it.
Having an oil leak inside the distributor is possible but is a separate problem with the internal seal, as mentioned. The seal can be replaced, but most people just replace the distributor.
