For our new race car we need to run a savety fuel cell in combination with a surge tank.
The fuel cell gots two pick ups ( left and right in the cell ) from where we want to go to a surge tank.
To pull the fuel out of the fuel cell we want to use a external Walbro fuel pump (GSL392) and lead it to the surge tank.
So the pump is working against nearly 0psi.
From this unpreasurised surge tank a Bosch 044 will be used to to pump the fuel to the the rail which will have 4 1000 ID injectors.
E85 will be used as fuel.
The questions is:
Is the external Walbro fuel pump (GSL392) and the Bosch 044 resistant against E85?
Is the external Walbro fuel pump adequate to pull the fuel through Y-ed lines which come from the two pick ups of the fuel cell.
How "much" HP can a Bosch 044 on a B-series turbocharged Honda usually make when it is not directly pre-feeded from an other pump?

Technically the 044 and 255 are specifically NOT rated to run E85. I have torched a few knockoff walbros in a tank or 2 of E85, and saw a few threads on other forums about dead 255's from E85. If you called walbro directly, they would say that any exposure to E85 voids the warranty instantly, and they are not able to handle it at all. 044's have a similar clause in their techsheet (google it).
That being said, I have seen many people get away with it for 10k+ miles worth of e85, so its your call.
Depending on what final pressure you want to run on the fuel rail, you should be able to get away with a single 044, without the walbro at all.
If you are looking for a E85 rated pump that flows north of 300lph, send me a PM I may be able to help you out.

It may be just me, but what is a "savety fuel cell" and why does it need to pickup's ? I did a web search for "savety fuel cell" and got nothing.
And then why go to another tank ?
Is there something in the rules for your class that makes you have to do this ?
Sorry I can't be of any help.

@1992si
Sorry for my english.
The savety fuel cell is a fuel tank like this:
We need it for our rules.
The surge tank is to prevent the Bosch044 from pulling air while hard cornering (circuit racing)
The 044 pulls the fuel from the surge tank which is feeded from the external Walbro pump.

I understand now thanks. Your a road racer.
Hopefully some one like miller or Tony1 or one of the other Tuners here will help you out soon.

i seen the word savety then looked to see where he was from
its not that hard to tell he isnt from the us when it says germany.
a little consideration will go a long ways

Perhaps this would be better in the roadracing forum....
The walbro is a good enough pump to be used as a lift pump. You'll be ok. Just make sure that you have a good return of fuel. Are you going to return it to the fuel cell or to the surge tank?

Thanks, but the roadracing guys do not have so much experiences with turbocharged hondas, E85 and such "complex" fuel systems. I thinks Drag forum is a good place for fuel and fuel pump related questions ;-)
Our rules say that we have to return the fuel from the fuel rail into the surge tanks and that we have to return the fuel from the surge tank into the fuel cell.
