Hey guys im stumped. I want to get an oil temp and oil pressure sensor and wire them to my hondata s300 for logging and also to display on my tunerview. I picked up an autometer ful sweep temp sensor but its a resitance style sensor so i m unable to use this with the hondata. i need a voltage style sensor do they exsist for temp sensors? i was looking at the aem temp sensor but not sure it that does voltage or resistance. can someone please point me in the right direction.
Also need to know how to wire this to the ecu. i know to use the inputs d12 and b6 and setup the voltage table in the settings in hondata but do i run power to those inputs through the sensor or a ground to those inputs through the sensor. im assuming voltage but i want to be sure. thanks for any input.

Resistance is voltage. I'm not exactly sure what your asking. 99% of the sensors out there supply 5 or 12volts then vary the resistance to come back with .049v or .45v or .0003v or whatever the computer is designed to read. Be it pressure that changes the resistance or temperature.
What is the specified data the S300 is looking for in the sensors? Does it have a few boxes you can tell it .1v = 200*F, and 5v = 400*F or something similar?

I think you can run 5v and it has columns to input voltage data when I ran volatge through the sensor I have it was almost full voltage at room temp and only a 20 degree difference it was at max voltage so not enough range from the sensor
