If it hits really hard when you go over a bump, then your spring rates are probably pretty stiff and getting softer ones will help it ride better. If the whole car bounces a little bit after you go over a bump, then your shocks are blown and need to be replaced.

the lower you go the stiffer you need the springs to be
the struts also provide cushion, dont be a usual cheap hondatech member, do it right.

spend 800 bucks and get konis and ground control. all your problems will be gone.

u probbly bought some cheap *** ebay coilovers... u get what you pay for

If your struts are done then new springs won't help the bounce much. If they're just old and tired, stiffer springs will make them work harder to dampen the shock, so soft springs might make it a little better. Eibach Sportlines are fairly soft for aftermarket, or you could get some OE springs which are really soft.

H&R 51807-55. OE Sport Springs. Somewhere around $170 from King MotorSports. And a set Tokico Illumina shocks. You can find em on ebay for around $350. Only get Illuminas, don't bother with the blue Tokico HP's they're junk.
I've had them in my 90 Si for a couple years, now. With no complaints.

why replace the springs, when you need new shocks.
The ride wont be any better and it would be wasted money.
Just my $.02.

bounce your car a couple of times. if you hear the bump stops hitting together. Replace the shocks.
