It would seem as though your making more power per psi than any other D series (B, H, or K for that matter). Through a stock head for that matter...at that rate, why even stop at only 18psi??

1+1=3

More details and a chart is needed for this to add up properly.

This video was of the last engine y8 block and z6 head. We have went through the whole disbelief of this engine making the power it is making on the amount of boost plus the simplicity of the setup already. I feel that the engine is just in a sweet spot for the combination of parts being used. I also feel that as the boost goes up the head will start to show it's low efficiency / cfm and not make as much hp per psi.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDVSKH1vd98

Only thing changed was the block, took out the y8 block and went with a z6 block. z6 head was refreshed with a valve job and that was it. I'll try to get copies of dyno graph. Did not go for more power because we did not need any more. This car has ran 10.7@ 135+mph on 475-480whp. We did some transmission work with higher gear ratios so we want to get the car hooking up before running more power. On top of that this is a stock sleeve block so we're close to the uncharted power levels for a stock sleeve d-series block.

Much love for the D-series, but 520whp on 18psi is low boost for that whp.

I know how it feels to have people discount your #'s, so I don't want this to come off the wrong way, but I made ~570whp on a dynopak on 17lbs on an F22c.

Hard to believe your motor is as efficient.

I sort of agree with you,

the best way to tell is if he ships off that cam to someone else with a D-series, and use the same turbo, also with E85,

and see if the same or close numbers can be achieved.

Theres gotta be something there thats doing it, wether it be crazy timing on E85, or that cam + turbo combo.

Yea these are pretty incredible numbers from such a mild d16 w/ stock head ports y8 manifold etc and that turbo at that amount of boost... even on E85 with a good tune.

In for more information.

Btw was this corrected or uncorrected numbers, what was the correction factor, etc? Was this on a dynopack?

Sorry to sound skeptical but its well beyond what most people have seen with a relatively similar setup.

The only thing different from your car and any other D-series is your cams, which you are magically trying to sell.

Either the design is amazing and you deserve all the future business you are going to get

OR

1+1=3

he's saying that the setup doesn't "ADD UP"...i.e., add factors together that show an outcome higher than seems logically possible

I can't think of any other d16s that run 10:1 to compare against this. Who knows.

share the dyno corrected and uncorrected with a boost plot if you have one

what was the spool like on that big turbo?
