Default Wowww, really, ball joint?

I have a 95 GSR and am removing the axels. I have run into a problem though, i cant seperate the ball joints, this is my first time doing it alone. Help please! It would also help to have opinions on how to remove axels. Sry if repeated post!

With shock/spring and shock fork still bolted in place:

- remove castle nut
- jack up suspension
- place 1/2" ratchet handle behind knuckle, between knuckle and LCA
- release jack, ball joint stud will pop loose with a loud *bang*

Takes only a few seconds and works every time.

In school they had us use a crowbar and pry them apart while hitting it with a hammer. ^ looks like a better way to do it.

Yeah that's the video, I was too lazy to find it

this is the most unobtrusive, painless method of separating this ball joint. No hitting things with hammers, no ripping boots with pickle forks or anything like that, and it's much faster and easier than even the "proper" Honda procedure.

You need a ball joint separator. That's the ball tools to use none others.. Check to see if find it at any automotives stores..

ummm why would you need that? Did you watch the video or read my description? No tools are needed to separate the lower ball joint except a 1/2" ratchet (or some other wide tool handle) and a floor jack.

Using the "proper" tool on the LBJ takes 20 times as long as this method and you risk damaging parts, whereas this method has zero risk of parts damage.
