Can I run LS Eagle rods in GSR ?

Default Can I run LS Eagle rods in GSR ?

Have a guy that has brand new eagle rods part # crs5394a3d & is going to give me these along with cp pistons 81.5mm, acl bearings, Arp main & head studs, act race clutch & flywheel, plus cash for my 97 gsx dsm & not sure if these will work ive heard bearing width is off between LS vs GSR as well as the legth any help much appreciated

you can run the LS rods but ur gonna need to use an LS or B20 crank due to the difference in length and also bearing for an LS...running that setup it more of a true LS/Vtec u gain on the stroke GSR is 87.2mm vs LS 89mm mean more torque!

You need an LS crank or GSR length rods. You might be able to find someone to trade you.

But to answer your question: You're correct, LS the rods & GSR/ITR crankshaft are not compatible.

You can, however, put LS crank & rods in a GSR block.

Short answer: You're going to need a different crank or different rods
