Y8 swap help

Default Y8 swap help

Ok i just did a dpfi to mpfi to y8 swap.I got a cel code 10.I know its the map sensor but every vacumm is hooked up.Its runs fine but i need it off to pass inspection.any help would be great thanks

Call me crazy but doesn't a D16y8 come Multi Point already?

what don't you get? he converted his car to mpfi and then installed a y8 head..

op: code 10 is not for the map sensor, its for the idle air temp sensor. code 3 is for the map.

well no i put the full y8 swap in it.But what could i have done wrong to make it throw that code?What to do to fix it.

my guess would be that you don't have the Intake Air Temperature sensor connected - the D16Y8 has the IAT in the intake tube before the throttle body, not in the intake manifold like most of the other D-series engines - did you install a sensor for the IAT and connect it?

the IAT sensor connector on your DPFI engine harness is a white 2-wire connector with red with yellow stripe and green with white stripe wires

this is one way to install the IAT in the intake tube:

well my car is running a obd0 pm6.but ill try that out an see what happens

so you're running vtec off of what then.. an rpm switch?

Not running vtec yet.I would run a swtich but dont really know how to wire that up
