Default CARBON FIBER HOOD

i was thinking about getting a carbon fiber hood for my crx, but want to know if you guys think its really worth spending like 500 bucks on one, or just putting that money towards the engine on my car. so let me know what u guys think.

I would put it towards the engine although the stock hood seems to weigh alot.

Unless your going to be seriously competing with your car...who cares if the stock hood weighs so much. There is seriously no need for weight reduction if this will be a daily driven car. Besides, dont serious racers use one piece front ends? or fiberglass bodies?

the only reason i have a cf hood because the top of my motor hits the hood, thats the only reason i can see havin on on a daily driver

Honestly, on a DD, carbon fiber anything is just for looks. Sure, you can argue how your DD feels so much lighter with your baller carbon fiber hood. Let's be realistic, can you tell THAT much of a difference while driving? I can't!

VIS is by far the best, regarding quality, although I'm sure some people will dispute that.

Just put your money into the motor.

Haha, I sell everything, but I was talking about it from personal experience!

I've owned Seibon, Vis, etc. and VIS has definitely been the best quality I have owned.

Maybe so, but if people were serious about weight reduction, they wouldnt rock full interiors with a carbon fiber hood/hatch/fenders

Oh well.

i dont think the stock hood is that heavy, anyone have a weight comparison of stock vs cf? go the cheap rout and cut the webbing from the stock hood.. lol

Big difference in weight cause compared to my bro today his hood weights like 2 and a half more than my cf and also come on cali LA chinatown the shop I got it from he sells cf hoods for 280 that's how much I got mine clean *** f*%# lol true
