Hey everyone,

Map sensor went out the other day so I put a new one in. Now motor wont rev past 7k in gear. Its fine when in neutral but not in gear. It kind of feels like a rev limiter but not really. Feels more like its being suffocated. Any help would be great.

 

Did you calibrate the TPS?

happen to have new injectors? Been in a few cars with huge injectors and was flooding the motor around 7k

 

The knock sensor will cause the problem. are you running a chip ecu? get a p28 with a chip and disable the knock sensor on the ecu or install a knock sensor or trick the ecu which ever works better for you, but if I were you I get a p28 ecu chip it and disable the knock sensor and you be reving 8100, well thats my opinion since a couple of friends used to have the same problem. not sure if this is possible but do you think the rev limiter needs to be adjusted?
