no clutch pedal pressure!! need some help on this one
ok so today, i go out to my 97 integra push the clutch in and its fine.. so i start driving it pushing the clutch in slowly as i come to a stop.. and the pedal hits the floor.. theres no leaks or anything like that, so im thinking automatically its the slave cylinder going out.. so i replace it, put the new one in and its the same thing.. now i bled the **** out of it and its got tons of pressure, UNTIL i push the clutch in slowly again, an boom it hits the floor and stays there, so i pick it up off the floor and put pressure on it quickly and its got pressure... WTF is going on here.. this is my 6th integra and im stumped!! btw this car is 438hp with a stage 4 6 puck sprung disc... i need some help fast!!
Re check for leaks. Check your master cylinder as well. If its building pressure and slowly loosing it then there has to be a leak. If your pressure plate was gone Im pretty sure it wont be building any pressure.
hmm, im not to sure guys, i've been checking the fluid, and it hasnt gone anywhere, its at the exact same spot, master cylinder isnt leaking and the slave is brand new.. has anyone ever put that teflon tape on the line going into the slave before maybe its getting a tinnnnnny bit of air in it or something and cause it to lose pressure like that? if the master cylinder was going out wouldnt i have brake fluid on in my car with ruined carpet, haha i've had that before and it sucked, but theres no fluid in there and im not losing fluid, so im just stuck

no, the master failing does not mean you'll have fluid everywhere, it simply means you'll have no line pressure as the piston isn't pressurizing the lines. the clutch is a really simple system, if the slave is good and the system isn't leaking the master is all that's left. you also can buy a new master from the dealer for barely more than vatozone
awesome well i'll try the teflon tape, if that doesnt work i'll replace the master, and if that doesnt work i guess the trannny is coming apart, i did a little research on this, and it seems like 2 other people have had this TYPE of problem. not identicle but it ended up being there clutches.. so im really hoping its not that. but if it is then it is... i just cant believe ive owned 6 DC2 integras and have never had this problem ever??
it could be the clutch IF the slave is working. you can pull the slave and have it braced against something, push on the clutch pedal and see if it's working. having a buddy around helps greatly. if the slave is working great and you can feel pressure on the pedal you almost certainly have an issue with the throwout bearing and or fork
you also might want to replace your hydro line with a custom made-doesn't mean expensive- braided line, it worked for a couple of the builds i've done
i replace my master cylinder and i bled it too... and it still does it.. well if it is my pressure plate then it wouldnt be building pressure..but when i i picked up from the floor it have pressure againt... well now i check .. and i have noideas if i have a leak or not.. lol..but however will dirty fluid does it ?
