Default running girdle on ls motor

wondering how this would go i have searched but im still a big confused at what needs to stay and go

using my stock b18b1 motor and going to be throwing a b16 head on it.
will be revving to 8-9k

have a b18c5 block girdle laying around with main caps and bolts from the c5

would i just need to replace the main caps with the c5 ones and run the girdle using the c5 bolts right.

what oil pan, baffle and oil pickup would i need to run. could i run the lb18b1 stuff or no.
thx for any help guys

you'll have to get it line bored since you're not using caps from the original motor. you'll have to run gsr/type r pan, pickup, and baffle.

Wouldn't it be easier to run the endyne block girdle?

http://theoldone.com/components/block_girdle/

You'd have to get the GSR girdle line honed.

Why would using an endyne girdle not require line honing of the caps?

When they say no machining required, they mean no machining to mount to the caps or to clear the windage tray. You still need to have non-original main caps line honed.

yeah guys i know it has to be line honed. machine shop will take care of that i just needed to know if it will work or i needed more parts to get it working.

so i can bolt the girdle straight up with the bolts from the stock c5 engine
then buy gsr oil pan, baffle pickup and im good to go

Yeah, you need all the components off the gsr block. Girdle, 2-4 main caps, bolts, windage tray, oil pickup tube and pan.

Dont forget the GSR water pump and timing belt

you only actually need to line hone it if its out of round...ive gone 5k miles, and a good 50 dyno pulls over 2 tuning sessions and didnt line hone it because there was no lip and they were measures as round.

probaly true but my first time rather take more precaution and hone it and then measure bearing clearances after that.

today i swapped in a gsr in an ek and the dude had me change the timing belt and water pump. so i kept the used water pump and timing belt i know it sounds stupid but they are perfect. no rust buildup on the pump either
