GSR block girdle on a LS??
Using a GSR block girdle on an LS block pretty much makes it a GSR block. You have to use gsr windage tray, pickup and pan to complete the setup. I am having mine done as we speak.

is the z-10 block girdle any better or worse?
but cost's alot more than a B18C block girdle.
a block girdle NEW from the dealer is just under 100 bucks...........but you will still be needing those other parts as well (6 GS-R main bolts, GS-R oil pump pick-up, GS-R windage tray, GS-R oil pan......)
i guess if you were going to make some super crazy 700+ hp engine the stronger Z-10 girdle would probably be a better choice. but for what most people use them for the B18C girdle is plenty strong.........
well you still need all those gsr parts to make it z-10 one work right. i think however if its good enough for a gsr it would be good enough for a gs (me). im going turbo but i doubt ill rev past the stock reline so the gsr girdle might be good for a little extra protection if i rebuild.....
the middle main cap has to be machined down so that it's almost equal to the other main caps..........that is supposed to be the BEST way to put a GS-R girdle on the LS engine.......HXguy had the girdle itself modified to fit which is OK but some people might not agree with it and will say that the girdle looses some strength by doing so............
