Default Never-gonna-be-finished Build Thread

Ive been piecing this together for a year and a half now, but it originally started as a pfab kit on 8lbs that snowballed into a lot more. In September I pulled the motor in the road in front of my house lol and had the motor disassembled by Darius from Driv3n.

The block has AEBS steel sleeves bored 40 over and is stroked to a 9:1 compression 2.3. The head has a 3 angle on the intake and a 5 angle port on the exhaust, assembled with all Supertech valvetrain. Im going to see how far the car gets on stock coilpacks before they are replaced with Okada's or another alternative Darius has in mind. The car will be fed on E85 with a low boost tune of 20psi and a high boost tune on 35.

Now. Somewhat fixed non-shitty front end with bigger front mount, thanks to the epic Dremel for assisting in the removal of lots of bumper support bracket

Pointless picture of the manifold mocked up to the head while the block was gone:

The button for the boost solenoid: a speed button from a pallet jack at MDI/work

If that didnt cover everything Ill add it I guess, let me know what yall think!

hahaha thanks everybody I had to do what I could. Im definitely using a lift to put the motor back in once its assembled. ^Jeff what size/offset were those wheels you had for sale a while ago? Im looking for something similar and just want to go as wide as possible. I dont hear much about how wide of a tire people fit in these fenderwells

LOL @ pulling the motor out in the street. makes sense though. lots of room and don't have to worry about making a mess, lol.

rofl yea dude not worrying about a river of coolant or oil was one hell of a plus, although Im not sure my neighbors big on the idea of that part of the road being stained a different color black permanently :D Taking the transmission out from under the car without a lift was very nice I must say
