change my plugs because they were completely yellow and after a fifteen minute ride it happened again on brand new ones. I am running a gap of .28 and runningngk 2 step colder plugs. can get part number if needed. Only happens at high rpms and wot.

Leaded fuel will usually yellow the plugs.

I would go colder or take out some timing in the tune. If you moved the distributor after tuning the car this can happen. If you have a wideband are you to lean

 

no wideband. never moved anything at all. the car ran completely fine for 2 years...then i bought it.I think I am going to swap to bkr7e. and then report back. Just because thats what seems like most people run.

 

If this is the setup in your signature, you should not need to go colder at all. The gap should also be fine as long as your ignition components are in good condition - you could tighten it up to .026 if you want, but it won't have a real change on the coloring of the plug.

You are running no fuel injector cleaner or octane booster?

But definitely get a photo of your actual plugs.

Also, why do you say "misfire yellowed plugs?" You described no misfire in the post though...

 

when the miss occurs i am at wot and hgh rpms between five thousand to seven. and with new plugs after ten miles plugs started to get white powder on them that does not come off

 

powder comes off... white residue or build up sounds to me like melting insulator

octane booster?

 

Changed plugs not having the color issue on plugs anymore. Car builds boost better but will not boost above one bar. Anything under that it is fine. Wastegate sping is at nine psi. Have the litz SBC at 9 12 and 16. can hit .98 1.00 .96 all day long. Soon as i try to push it it stutters like a boost leak or misfire. Any ideas? like i said I can push it hard as i want all day to one bar with no problems. Soon as i go further miss......

 

and just noticed a coolant leak from a hose under intake manifold only after hard runs. Cant see that causing it though??? Not a drip drip. Steady stream. About 12 ounces or so each time.

 

fixed coolant line. And found that my catch can was sucking and leaking air from a few places. Fixed that issue and the car runs a lot better. HOWEVER. It is still only doing it above one bar.
This leads me to think maybe my boost control solenoid is bad? Car runs better than ever to 1.00 Bar but when it can do so much more it really bums me. Does anyone know how to test one? Its a Blitz Dual SBC. Searched google and found how to install but not troubleshoot.
Thought Head gasket while i was losing coolant but now with pipe fixed i am not losing any. No air coming out of rad. cap when i crank it. No moisture from exhaust. So thats out.
Went over all intercooler lines. Replace some that we a bit worn and installed 3 ply with really good clamps.
I AM LOST.
