Default b16a Wont start

I juist swapped a b16 into a hatch. the fuel pumps primes but the starter doesnt kick on. it will kick on it i jump it from the interior fuse box but there is no rotation.

I just read a thread about the clutch switch has a rubber peice that it presses the clutch switch to be able the start the car, I hope thats it.

but if i jumped the starter signal shouldnt it have started the car? I hear the starter but it doesnt turn????

The person who had the car before swapped the entire cabin harness. I was thinking it might be bad. some of the ecu pins were damaged but i repinned it and it all looks good. someone have any other tips on what to look for?

With the key in on/run position, you can start the car by umping the starter signal straight from the battery. Just make sure it's not in gear when you do that. If you jump the starter signal from the battery and all you hear is a click but no starter spinning or spinning but not engaging the flywheel, then the starter is faulty. However, if you can jump the starter from the battery, but it doesn't do anything when trying to start by key, then you have a wiring/switch/relay problem. If the car started & ran normal before the swap, then the wiring/switches/relay that was in there already should be fine. Can you bump (push) start the car?? If not then it's probably the engine seized. Have you tried turning the engine over by hand?

Also make sure the transmission ground wire is connected, clean, and tight.
