Ok car has been driving/running great til yesterday. Shifter was kinda stiff didnt think anything of it. Today however it is very very difficult to shift. No grinding or anything but i have to muscle it in and out of gear. Checked fluids, master and slave, and linkage all good. Any ideas? Its my daily driver need help.

 

you need a new clutch. just had that problem last month

 

Any suggestions to what type? Dont wanna do autozone stuff again...been there done that.

ok so update havent got a new clutch yet but car set over night and when i go out to move it the shifter will not move into gear. Is stiff as hell. Moves side to side in neutral buy not to any gear. Im stuck as to what this is. Normally when a clutch goes out it grinds or just doesnt go in gear right? This is just stiff!

 

Go stage 1 for sure or OEM replacement really. Stage 2 is if you took it to the strip every once in a while. Use an exedy clutch but an ACT flywheel. You won't be disapointed.

 

HA! Figured it out. The bolt connecting to shifter to the link was siezed. Thanks for the help guys.
