This car was running on a chipped P28 with OBD conversion harness....it used to take a little while for it to start but it would always start....

swapped out P28 for a GSR ecu to see about CEL (inspection time) and now car wont start....turns over like crazy but doesnt start...checked oil, checked plugs, both fine. Relatively new dizzy cap i believe but cant attest to rotor....

put the old ecu back in see what happens. sounds like the starter/battery may have finally crapped out if it used to take a while to start.

 

agreed, put the old ecu in and go from there.

 

of course i did that....still doesnt work...

thats the whole problem...it ran with P28....for 2 years....

took it out to check GSR ecu, car wouldnt start.....

checked some things, wont start.....

put P28 back in.....wont start....


it cranks like crazy, but it doesnt get that final pop....

 

did you try getting the starter checked at a local parts store? it may have gone out on you.

 

Fuel pump primes?
Spark at plugs?
CEL codes?
Blown fuses (44, 31, 13)?

 

Its not his starter or battery!!!!!

 

are you getting spark? fuel? neither?

 

RON! I knew you would show up!! Im gonna check those in the coming days...like i said its not mine, and my friend doesnt even know what way the spark plugs go in....
