QUICK ROOF sound deadening. Check out this video. Has anyone tried this???
So, I decided to sacrifice a little of speed and performance for a much quieter ride. I ran into this video on youtube about a product called quick roof. Listen to the sound when he taps on the floorboard, it sounds solid and he states that the product is durable. Has anyone here tried this???
Read the comments, after testing this material in 90 plus degree heat, he stated there was no smell what so ever.

I was looking at a product called eDead. Right now I'm not sure what the price difference is, but it's supposed to be similar to Dynamat and just a hair thinner, but it's like $1 a square foot or less if you buy more

that sounds like good stuff too. I think that this quick roof would be a lot easier to come by.

That's pretty cool. I wouldn't mind doing that to my daily. Another thing I'd like to do is put that carpeting in the wheel wells like a lot of new cars have. Thanks for the video. I might be looking into this.

I have a magnaflow exhaust and the last guy removed all the trunk carpeting. my exhaust is really loud during acceleration...I'm gonna give this stuff a whirl in my trunk!

looks like its only sold at local stores and not online. I wish we can find a member who has had this in their car for a least a year. I might hit up the youtuber for follow up video.

found this on another forum
BQuiet, eDead, Fatmat, Rblocks...they're all basically the same thing: aluminum foil over a butyl rubber base (the same stuff they use to set modern-car windshields). My money says it's all the same thing: repackaged roof barrier like Quick Roof. http://www.cofair.com/roof.aspx
That stuff is 40-mil thick but the company also offers a 60-mil material called Stormblock. http://www.cofair.com/sb60.aspx Bear in mind that both of these products are adhesive backed.
We "stumbled" onto this solution in the '90s when a friend of mine owned a car-audio shop. It did the exact same thing as Dynamat but for like 20 percent of the cost. Honestly I think Dynamat started by repackaging similar stuff.
The 40-mil stuff is all about a buck a foot and it works really well. Double up on the firewall, the area around the rear window and rear parcel floor and the car will get real quiet inside.

heres another link with guys that used it in their miata's back in 2007

Well, i decided to give this a shot today. I will do the passenger wheel well located in the trunk and passenger quarter panel. I will post video comparing pass and driver side, with and without deadening.

Hello- could you provide an update on using quick roof to deaden the sound in your vehicle. I have read many posts and I am thinking about doing it to my vehicle ASAP. Thanks in advance.
