it sounds like a computer problem for sure, but can i ask why you chipped the p30 instead of finding a p28, p06, p72, etc?

or why did you jump generations in saying other ecus?

and a p30 is for a b16. just not this specific engine apparently.

That's what I'm thinking.

A B16 dyno normally has a little wiggle at vtec crossover, but shouldn't have that much of a hesitation. Assuming you don't have other CEL problems to look at, you need a good dyno tune.

find someone with a similar untuned ECU and try that.

they may have messed up the VTEC part of your tune.

I had this same problem with a p28 that was tuned incorrectly. It's most likely your ecu.

Dude, VTEC relies on oil, heavy. Dirty oil, wrong thickness, low or not enough pressure. You need the perfect combo of all those to have "perfect" VTEC.

its probably the normal dip of flat spot in power at the vtec crossover that you're feeling. I bet its just a stock map on it and chipped to bypass throwing any codes

Since you tried different ecu, get an oil change
New oil never hurts anyways =D
