This is a really good vid for those who are not too familiar what it is like to be in a top European touring car! And some serious ***** to the wall driving technique. Thought the vid was entertaining fun to watch the crazy euro cars getting owned on the inside of the corner like they were doing a cool down lap!

Damn... That's what I call sucking the headlights outta the competition... And some pretty badass looking machinery too. Makes me think of Schumi starting from the back of the grid on a few occasions... Wow...

What kind of cars are those with the hight rear wing and arched rear deck? Seem to be the only ones having any success holding this guy up.

 

Did that guy jump the start? It looked like somebody went over the wall to get out of the way, and there was a dude walking on the track just to the right of him. Hmmm.

i'm not too familiar with touring cars, but how come everytime he shifts, it gets screaming loud? whats the sound from?

btw...crazy stuff, he just passes them in the beginning...hahha

If I were to guess, I would say the whine is actually the rear end, not the tranny itself...but????

 

I notice that right after letting off the throttle the sound dies down abruptly, and it ain't cause the tranny gears have slowed down abruptly... I believe that comma inducing, high pitched squeal has more to do with the recording limitations than with the actual sound of the transmission.

 

Well, whatever it is, it has got something to do with the car's actual speed, and not the engine speed, because the pitch just gets higher even if he starts to shift.

Did I countr correctly but did he have 7 gears?
