My honda has no map sensor...what the hell?
Alright guys, i am completely stumped. I bought a 1994 honda civic dx, and it literally has no map sensor, and nowhere to mount it. It's not on the throttle body or on the firewall like the other hondas I've owned. The car gets very poor gas mileage, and it's running *very* rich.
As far as I am aware, the MAP sensor inputs a voltage reading to the computer to meter the amout of gas the vehicle needs. I can't even find a plug or mount for this thing. I even took it to my local honda shop. They couldn't find it either.
Not on the passenger tower, firewall or TB. I've had people tell me i'm stupid because I can't find it, then I let them look for it, and they can't find it either.
Attached are pictures for proof. Im pretty sure it's not the original engine. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no such thing in my engine bay. No connectors, no loose wires...nothing... I've literally spent a 7 hour work day looking. I don't understand how it's just 'not there'

Here's what the connector looks like:

The MAP sensor wires pin to D17, D19, and D21 of the ECU. Do you find the proper wires at those locations? Also look for the Wht, Grn/Blu, and Yel/Grn wires in the engine bay. A previous owner may have relocated the sensor, otherwise a MAP sensor code would be thrown.

DUDE i got the same problem as you , no map, no connectors, i even took the harness off the car and stripped off all the black plastic(i call split loom)(thought they may have been cut even though my harness looked totally unmolested) and no map wires to be found..but only difference is, i am throwing CEL for map sensor
hopefully someone can figger out what the shell is goin on here. 95 dx d15z1 PO6 ecu 5 spd

-(pink and white connected to dark blue wire on engine harness looks like it goes to the alternator)
-(yellow and green goes to nothing (rubber grommet in engine side of connector)
-(blue and green stripe goes to blue and green but it runs to large plug on distributor

You have a '92 - '93 D15B7 in a '95 Civic using a '92 - '93 DX/LX harness, thats your problem, find a '94 - '95 D15B7 throttlebody and engine harness and you'll be all set.
