Block has a small hole
Long story, I send my engine to a local shop to install the Darton Sleeves, it came back I didn't notice a small hole in the back side, under the sleeve.. Seem like they drill a little to deep... I didn't notice it until like 1 year later, I lagging on my project, so now I was wondering if I could take it to a shop to get it weld?
Sometimes with Darton sleeves it pokes a hole where the timing belt tensioner bolt goes. From the machine work it actually makes a hole sometimes, not all the time. I'm having a hard time understanding where exactly the hole is on your block. Can you take pictures?
Here is the pix... I put jb weld on it... but I so far i only idle the engine for 30 mins.
to break the head.. the hole is at the yellow marker... Oh! fluids are not mixing inside.

Like i said, i did the block 3 years ago, and just finally got to get the engine running.
Most likely you got back 3 year later said hey you put a hold in my block.
It was one of those thing you don't check for when you take your engine to the shop.

Trying to see if it could be weld.. doing it right. I just put JB on there to make sure my head is machine in right... I been going with this project for 5 year now. I don't have that much time to work on and no help or someone to keep me company. Too boring working on car by myself.
its already jb welded. dont even worry about it, just run the car.
if it fails you will need to clean out all the jb weld anyways which will be a royal pain in the ***...
sure it can be welded. but you didnt make it easier on yourself by putting jb weld on there.
just run it how it is you wont have any problems
