NEED HELP, Oil feed fitting broke off block!
Damn so depressed, well my fitting that I attached in place of the oil pressure sensor broke off of the block. It chipped a portion of the thread. My question is this fixable? Can It be fixed on the car if fixable or do I have to remove the motor? And if fixable how much does this usually run. After everything is done I'm getting the GE adapter, damn.

the only way i can think of is to retap it and that should fix the threads but i doubt you could do that with the motor in... you could try to cut the tap down so you can get it up there to tap it anyways good luck

Thats the thing a portion of where the fitting attaches to broke off (part of block, aluminum).
Retapping will do nothing, I'm just hoping a machine shop can slap so aluminum on and retap.

you should have used a BSPT adapter on the back of it.....
A good machine shop should be able to weld a piece of aluminum and retap it.
next time, use the BSPT adapter...

I did, I used a BSPT adapter from the block then the ss line to a tee fitting.
But could a machine shop do it w/o taking the engine out, if not I'm going to start
pulling the engine.

Do you happen to know what caused it to break? Did you tighten it to hard? Im just wondering cuz Im going to be intsalling my turbo next weekend and I want to avoid having this happening to me. Sorry to hear your misfortune BTW.

How much material is actually gone. If its not too much then it might be fixable in the car. If not too much is gone use a die grinder to make a flat surface and retap the hole. Plug the hole while grinding you dont want shavings in there.
BSP is close enough to NPT that all I do is coat an NPT tap with grease and run it down the hole once without backing it out. Then remove it and check for filings. If you dont back it out and continue inward like your supposed to I find that it doesnt leave shavings or break. I've never had these problems.
