My car is misfiring when i accelerate and its very sluggish seems like its in limp mode. i just changed the fuel filter and checked all the sparkplugs there fine. im thinking the fuel pump is going out. i did a jdm d15b swap not too long ago so im pretty sure the distributor is still good. maybe my sparkplug wires are bad?? also my speedometer isnt working anymore and my car is throwing a vehicle speed sensor code could this be it? i dont think my car would be in limp mode because of that cause it was working fine when the speedometer first went out.

Give more info on your setup and what OBD etc. Also you need to describe what is happening better, in more detail, before anyone will help you or begin to understand your problem. So far all you have said is that it is sluggish and a bunch of stuff you suspect it might be - although it does sound like an ignition problem.

Good news is: the VSS doesn't have anything to do with the misfire

Start with the basics:
-check your timing
-see if it is getting weak spark
-report what codes you have and reset ecu
-check engine grounds
-replace dist cap, rotor, plug wires (or test with a known good dizzy)
-does it have fuel pressure?

 

Problem solved. tps sensor my car barely threw the code the other night.
