Heres the deal...When the car is cold, it runs fine no sputtering or anything. Once the car is warm it starts to sputter around 2k to 3k rpms, once its out of that rpm band the car jolts and runs fine. I have checked alot of stuff:
Injectors are ticking
Headgasket is fine
Fuel Pump is priming
New distributor/cap/rotor
recent plugs and wires
The only thing i can think of is fuel filter. I just thought i would get everyone else's .02 first. Thanks alot guys/gals.

Yes the distributor is dead on. I will change the fuel filter tomorrow and let you know what happens. Thanks in advance.
Bump cause im having a similar problem.
After the car warms up, the car will sputter and jump/dive in 1st gear while accelerating. Car has no Check Engine lights, besides code 21 which is the vtec solenoid, and sense the car is a 97 LS it leads me to believe it might be because the ecu is from a 94 auto. (got the car this way)
Changed the plugs, wires, and fuel filter. Anybody got any ideas? Somebody help me so I can get rid of this car.

Thanks i'll keep that in mind. I have been doing some research and I have found that if you use a P75 on a b20 you have to raise the fuel pressure, and sense the guy that had it before me had a b20 in it, maybe its running rich, thus causing the sputtering? Also i've got another question if anyone knows. I know 96-00 LS's are obd2... are the Ecu's all the same? Or differ in year. I ask this becuase I have a 99-00 to obd1 92-95 JHPUSA ecu jumper. I was going to see if it'd work on there sense it looks like they've been into the wiring harness.

Hey i had the same problem on my Gsr it was the fuel filter..I suggest you change yours it's only about $20. I thought it was something much more expensive..also check the ground wires to the motor...goodluck
