Default Want to do a reliable boosted z6

Hey i just got a sol not to long ago i been DDing and it will be my DD, I want to go fast but nothing to crazy maybe like 200hp give or take a few...I dont have to much money looking to drop maybe like 1,500 to the motor maybe less...I've done my research i just want people to give me some of their thoughts / what they'd do / and just opinions. I want it to be boosted dont have money for a swap so im sticking with the dseries...oh and the mileage on the z6 is like 98XXX +

this is what i was thinking

1.eBay turbo kit, maybe get a different turbo exhaust manifold since i heard theirs are shitty.

2.Get a good tune

3.Get some vitara pistons

4.Eagle rods

5.750cc injectors

where would my numbers be with this?

Don't forget all of the gaskets, seals, etc. (They add up quick)

And 750cc would probably be a bit overkill for what your power goals are.

ebay stainless steel manifolds are crap i heard, their cast iron manifolds hold up just as good some people say

but i wouldnt run on that ebay turbo for too long, you should save up another 600$ afterwards and get a garret t3 50trim

If you're going to have it all apart, then you might as well spend more money up front and be thorough with everything....especially since the engine already has 98K on it, you're about due to replace the timing belt (which you might as well replace the water pump, cam and crank seals while you're there).

If you're going to do something, do it right the first time

3.Get some vitara pistons
4.Eagle rods
5.750cc injectors
these are unnecessary for 200hp, theyll hold well over 300whp. and dont forget ARP headstuds

check this out...www.homemadeturbo.com....other than that for a reliable 200hp build just buy some head studs
cuz d series get head lift easily, and a tune and u'll be runnin for years to come, considering the tune is good and
the motor as of now is healthy
the goods:
*450cc injectors, dsm ones work fine
*fmic
*good tune
*no more than 200whp unless u plan on buyin rods/pistons
*either ebay or homemade junkyard kit will be fine for ur goals!

to be 100% reliable tho i would recommend buying all new gaskets and some new parts such as head gasket
i'd go with a multi-layer cometic...umm new water pump and timing belt, valvecover gasket just to prevent leaks
u'll never kno, and some new, possibly a step colder plugs and maybe even some wires. I might be forgetting
some things but with ^ stuff i don't see u having any problems with ur build. make sure u do a fresh oil change
of course and flush out the coolant and change that too, u should be all set

Yea you could easily get away with 450cc's for your power goals. Also, just keep stock internals, its a DD and you will save some money. Spend the money on headstuds, full gasket set, water pump, and good streetable tune. I daily drive my z6 on 10lbs and its doing great

ok so heres my checklist:

ARP HEATSTUDS

NEW TIMING BELT + WATER PUMP

450 CC INJECTORS

GOOD TUNE

OIL CHANGE + COOLANT FUSH

SPARK PLUGS + NGK MAYBE WIRES

EBAY TURBO KIT WITH A BRAND NAME TURBO MANIFOLD

i kind of want fresh new pistons tho, wont those give me more of a noticeable benefit?
